Evita Griskenas (Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) finished the top-10 Saturday at Arena Armeec and fellow 2020 Olympian Lili Mizuno (Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) got the 12th spot, as the individual all-around competition concluded at the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships.
Griskenas' combined 119.950 giving her the second-best World Championships all-around showing of her career. She was previously eighth in 2019. Meanwhile, Mizuno delivered a 117.850 to claim her highest international total of the season
Both Griskenas and Mizuno were key contributors to the United States' 5th-place team finish.
2022 Baku World Cup
Evita Griskenas (Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) and Lili Mizuno (Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) sit ninth and 13th, respectively, in the all-around competition after Day 1 of the 2022 Baku World Cup. The 2020 Olympians have both secured spots in Sunday's ball final, while Griskenas notched the second-reserve position for the hoop final. The pair will take on clubs and ribbon Saturday to close out the all-around competition.
Griskenas' 60.100 has her positioned in the top-10 at the midway point of the all-around in her first international outing of 2022. Mizuno, who finished sixth at the Sofia World Cup earlier this month, sits at 59.150 after two apparatus.
Bulgaria's Boryana Kaleyn sits atop the Day 1 all-around standings with a 65.950.
