Who cares about zero-degree weather when you're competing in the world's best indoor sport?! Three members of North Shore Rhythmics--seniors Katherine Scarnechia and Shelby Kisiel and junior Jazzy Kerber--headed to chilly Canada this weekend for the Montreal World Cup. A special treat: seeing Olympic gold medalist Evgeniya Kanaeva perform. (For competition results, go tohttp://www.rg.netai.net or www.rhythmicgymnasticsresults.com.) North Shore Rhythmics Gymnastics Center competitors migrated south--temporarily--for the Suncoast Sports Festival on Jan. 22-24. The U.S. senior national rhythmic gymnastics group and girls in levels 9 and 10 performed in front of judges and fans. Karate and artistic gymnastics events were going on simultaneously in the same arena. Photos by the Scarnechia family: |
