This year North Shore Rhythmics gymnasts have brought home 16 international medals – more than half of the USA Gymnastics’ rhythmic program’s 28 total medals so far. Senior Jazzy Kerber, 15, won the bronze all-around medal in the senior invitational at the Dundee Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, and the bronze all-around medal and bronze medals in hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon at the Opal Cup in Calais, France. Junior Laura Zeng, 12, won the bronze all-around medal in the junior invitational at the Dundee Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, and the silver all-around medal, the gold ribbon medal, the silver ball medal, the silver clubs medal, and the bronze hoop medal at the Pacific Rim championships. Junior Monica Rokhman, 14, won the silver ribbon medal at the Opal Cup in Calais, France, at the Schmiden Tournament in Stuttgart, Germany. Junior Jenny Rokhman, 14, won the bronze clubs medal at the Pacific Rim championships. Along with Zeng, she was part of the junior team that won team gold at the Pacific Rim championships. “I’m proud of them, and I love them!” says Natasha Klimouk, who – along with Dani Takova and Angelina Yovcheva – coaches the girls.
