Thank you, gymnasts, for a wonderful summer! While some of our veterans were winning medals at home and overseas, our stars of tomorrow were working on their flexibility, fitness and rhythmic skills at our summer camp. This fall our coaches will work with our girls on new routines and new elements. We also want to welcome our newcomers to team -- our level 3's, who will compete for their first time this season. Here's a roundup of some summertime fun at camp!

What's the most beautiful sport in the world? Rhythmic gymnastics, of course! Please sign up your daughters for our summer camp at the Glenview Park District. And tell your friends about it, too! Click here to sign up through the Glenview Park District. And check out our flyer, too! North Shore Rhythmics just hosted a camp for USA national team members -- including our own Jazzy Kerber, Laura Zeng and Camilla Feeley, who will represent the USA at World Cups in Portugal, Stuttgart and Pesaro this March and April. Congratulations! Laura and Camilla also qualified to represent our country at the Junior Pam American Championships, a step toward qualifying for the Youth Olympic Games. Kudos! And good luck to our younger team members, who are preparing for state and regional championships this spring! Thanks to the girls for working so hard, to the coaches for training and motivating everyone so well, and to our parents for all their support.
This summer more than 40 rhythmic gymnasts, from age 4 to age 18, spent their days stretching, leaping, dancing, and pirouetting at North Shore Rhythmics' gym in Glenview. They also learned new skills with their hoops, balls, ribbons, clubs, and ropes from NSR coaches Natasha Klimouk, Dani Takova, Angelina Yovcheva, Irina Korosteleva, Stephanie Flaxman, and Kristin Kaye. And dance teacher Pavel Tabutov even taught them jazz and hip hop. Check out some of our young rhythmic gymnasts in action! |
