North Shore Rhythmics gymnasts won many medals and fans with their performances this spring in Illinois, Ohio, Germany and Portugal! NSR gymnasts impressed the crowd with their routines at the Illinois State and Spring Fling competitions in the United States. And overseas, they heard cheers of "USA" as they represented the country. In March, junior Laura Zeng won four gold medals at the Gymnastik International 2013 held in Fellbach-Schmiden, Germany, and senior Jazzy Kerber won a bronze medal in the all-around and a silver in the hoop. Then at the World Cup in Lisbon, Portugal, in April, the USA Senior National Group, which trains at North Shore Rhythmics, made the finals in both events! (Group gymnasts are Sharon Dassouli, Alisa Kono, Natalie McGiffert, Monica and Jenny Rokhman, and Laura Tutunikov.) Also in Lisbon, Zeng won the bronze medal in the junior competition, and Kerber finished 15th all-around and ninth in hoop in the World Cup. Next: the USA Senior National Group and Kerber head to the World Cup in Pesaro later this month.
