North Shore Rhythmics gymnasts recently gave Las Vegas visitors a great alternative to playing the slot machines. Who wouldn't rather see talented athletes perform complicated leaps and pirouettes, while expertly handling hoops, balls, clubs, and ribbons? And indeed, families and fans turned out on January 14-16 to watch girls in levels 8 through 10 compete at the first Las Vegas Invitational Tournament. After the competition, many gymnastics families also visited local sights, including the Hoover Dam, the free fountain show at the Bellagio, and the Cirque du Soleil.
